Dancing Dragon Restaurant

It's not the best chineese food in the world, but if you just order off the menu and try the BBQ pork its pretty good, the people are nice and it's quick.

Dragon Fountain Restaurant
897 Sw Oak St, Hillsboro, Hillsboro,
Having read the reviews on this restaurant I had to come back and tell the straight story. I agree that this restaurant reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I may have visited in the late fifties or sixties, however little else resonates. The decor was reminiscent of that time, but in good repair. I found the food well prepared and tasty. Top marks to the egg roll. The service was excellent, if anything too good. I'm not sure about some who pans the food as not "real Chinese" and then obviously ordered the # 3 combination dinner. It's my opinion that combination dinners are for people who don't know much about Chinese food. In any restaurant I've been in, I've always had to order ala cart to get the combination of foods I want. As to cost, we spent $ 30.00 for two people and brought home enough leftovers to make another meal with leftovers after that. I give the place top marks. If I had to criticize any thing, I found the hot tea a little on the strong side. Much the same as one would expect English tea.

Hale's Restaurant & Lounge

Hale's Restaurant- Restaurant Hillsboro, OR October 14, 2006 Overall: Food: Ambiance: Service: Value:An all-American coffee-shop No less a luminary than James Beard said that "American coffee-shop breakfasts are a true gem." He was right. This place has been inbusiness since the '40's. They've consistently provided excellent American-style breakfast/lunch/dinner service from an old house right off the highway near Hillsboro. You can rub shoulders with construction workers (they LOVE to carbo-load here, and for good reason!), high-tech types, and retirees (they have a senior's menu that's reasonably priced). Try the Eggs Spartan. It's a local take on Eggs Benedict that will convert you for certain. They offer a two, three, or four-piece broasted-chicken dinner (chicken-broasting is a west-coast phenom that caught on in the '50's, and in some restaurants never died out - this is one of them). I love this place for breakfast-anytime, as well as their other offerings. Don't expect haute-cuisine here -- just an old-fashioned place with old-fashioned value!! Last Visited: October 2006

If you like Mexican food then this place is it. You get a warm atmosphere, delicious food, and exellent service. The food is authentic and fresh and is not TEX-MEX and it is well worth the price.
